The Dry goes global

The Dry has finished the year with 22 publishing deals from publishing houses around the world.

The English-language rights were acquired in a series of three-book deals in Australia, the US and the UK.

Pan Macmillan will publish the novel in Australian and New Zealand in June, while Flatiron Books in the US and Little,Brown in the UK will publish in 2017.

The rights have also sold in 19 foreign language territories in a series of deals orchestrated by Eva Papastratis from Curtis Brown’s translation rights departments.

The Dry will be published in French, German, Hebrew, Hungarian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Romanian, Russian, Serbian, Slovene, Spanish, Swedish and Turkish.

"Eva has done incredible work getting the novel into the hands of so many publishers, and it's so exciting to know The Dry has the opportunity to reach such wide audiences," Jane said.
