The Dry: ABIA Book of the Year

The Dry by Jane Harper has been named Book of the Year at the Australian Book Industry Awards, and winner of the General Fiction category.

The awards, presented before a capacity crowd at the Art Gallery of NSW, come almost exactly one year since The Dry, Jane’s debut novel, was released in Australia. It also follows The Dry being named Book of the Year at Australia's Indie Awards in March.

Pan Macmillan Australia, publisher of The Dry, was named the ABIA Publisher of the Year.
