Jane Harper's highly anticipated follow-up to The Dry, Force of Nature, has been released in the United States and United Kingdom having become a bestseller in its first four months in Australia.
The main character from The Dry, financial detective Aaron Falk, returns for Force of Nature, in which a corporate whistleblower goes missing on a weekend retreat with her co-workers.
Like those for The Dry, the rights to Force of Nature have sold in more than 30 territories.
More than 70,000 copies of Force of Nature have been sold in Australia since its launch in late September, and it continues to sell strongly and be widely recommended.
Force of Nature was shortlisted for Fiction Book of the Year at the 2018 Indie Awards, and is on the long list for the 2018 Australian Book Industry Awards.
“After The Dry, it is really exciting to see Force of Nature being launched in some of the biggest international markets one year on,” Jane said.
“I’ve been encouraged by the early response to the book. Even though Force of Nature is set in very different terrain to The Dry, I’m pleased that it appears to have translated so well for overseas readers.”
